sun is out, the snow is mostly melted, headed out for a saturday spin, the plan was coney island but i was lost before i even left manhattan, headed south through grimy bedford-stuyvesant, crown heights then into super surban midwood and through to sheeps head bay.
such a quick transition between neighborhoods, upper class jewish familys in fur coats and fuzzy hats on the way back from temple and kids playing football in the front yard on block one then a black kid who had just been punched in the face on the next.
hit the water at the end of bedford ave and followed it to plumb beach for a can of fizzy drink, would have liked to get to rockaway beach... next time
